Waiting for transformation

In an instant, my resin flocked Koala bear figurine was transformed: accidently knocked off my dresser and crushed beneath my cousin’s feet while we played.

Tearfully, I scooped up the pieces and brought them to my Pop Pop.  He gave me a hug.  “I can’t fix this, Jen.  The pieces are too small.  Look—some have turned to dust.” Read more….

Our congregation was a “church plant” from the Bally congregation and began worshiping in Colebrookdale Township of Berks county in the year 1780. For many years these two faith communities continued to share pastors and many other aspects of church life. Thanks to everyone who came out last night to celebrate Noah Kolb’s retirement–we had an evening of good food, good conversation, and plenty of laughter. If you didn’t make it and you want to share memories or a laugh, make sure to ask Carla for a "party card" next time you’re in the office!

Preaching Together: Experimental and Missional Proclamation in Community Overview

This course invites pastors and leaders to explore preaching as a multi-vocal activity within community.  It is envisioned as a creative educational model for persons familiar with preaching.  

Instructors: Steve Kriss will lead a teaching team including Stuart Murray Williams & Sue Conrad Howes.

Learning Components

  • A Cohort: Join a group for five months of engagement and experimentation.
  • Teaching: Two face-to-face days of teaching at the beginning and end: February 15 & June 14
  • Meet via WebEx: Students will experiment four times and reflect on those experiences with the class through bi-weekly, 90-minute web-based sessions.
  • Stuart Murray Williams: Williams will lead 4 1-hour Webinars related to his book The Power of Many.

Credit Value – Two Credits or Participation Audit (1 additional hour of credit available w/a Directed Study)
Tuition: $423 per credit hour
