God@work beyond our imagination:
United Conference Assembly 2012

The passion of Paul himself permeated the auditorium as Ervin Stutzman, Executive Director of MC USA, stood from his kneeled position and—hands stretched towards the sky—proclaimed these words from Ephesians 3:20-21. It was a fitting end to his message and an equally fitting end to the United Conference Assembly, in which participants gathered to imagine where God might be at work amidst Franconia and Eastern District Conferences. Featured blog: Play Dough Theology (Mennonite Road)*

One of the things I love about my congregation is our willingness to experiment. This spirit of experimentation has led to participating in new activities over the years, some ancient and some new. We are a small faith community, experiencing struggles and victories together, living in the midst of a post-Christian suburban culture. In this context we continually seek to follow Jesus in deeper ways, and seek the peace of the city where we are rooted. And the experiments seem to help us create space in our life together for God’s Spirit to work in us. Read more….

Notes to Pastors (3)

Announcing the date for 2013 Spring Training Day(s) for all credentialed leaders!

Wednesday, March 6 OR Saturday, March 9, 2013, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Remember the survey many of you filled out last summer about "Equipping for Credentialed Leaders"? We heard you! You said that you wanted resourcing days for half days. Some of you wanted them on a weekday, some preferred Saturday. So we’re going to try giving you a choice and present the same equipping twice–come to the one that best fits your schedule. We will serve a "substantial snack/brunch" at a mid meeting break. Remember, attendance at two out of three spring events in a 3-year period is the minimal expectation to maintain your credentials, so please put it on your calendars NOW. More details to follow….
