Ministry and Money Roundtable

Pastors:

I’ve had good conversations with many of you about how to best support people in your congregation who need help in their financial lives. Let’s continue that conversation together at two roundtable conversations on March 6 and see where God may be leading us together.

Beryl Jantzi, Everence stewardship education director, and Shannon Doyle, from our Budget and Debt counseling partner LSS, will be with us to lend to the conversation.

Friday March 6, 2015 – Everence Conference Room (121 N. Main St, Souderton, PA 18964)

  • 1:00 to 2:15 – Youth/Young Adults and Money – How are you leading youth into positive money habits? Pushing back against consumerism; student loan debt
  • 2:30 to 3:45 – “I’m a Pastor, Not a Financial Counselor” – How do you provide assistance to those with financial challenges? What do we do when there are chronic needs that building a better budget just won’t solve?

The topics will be a framework for us to build our conversation around. Come for one or for both conversations. RSVPs are welcomed but not required.  I have space for about 12 people in my conference room but can find a larger space if needed. Coffee and light snacks will be provided.

If there are other areas you would like to explore together, let me know.
