Resurrected space brings new life in East Greenville

The moment that Scott Roth unlocked Peace Mennonite’s old building for the first time in September of 2012, he began to tear up.  One of the high school students with him asked why he was so emotional.  “I can’t believe this is actually happening,” he responded. Read more….

Finland invites community to drive-thru

by Rose Longacre, Finland

It was a cold morning this week when four members of our church gathered to set up a table making a free “drive-thru” coffee stand. As usual, we looked forward to seeing our “regulars” and we prayed for new cars to stop by. Systems Learning Community

The Systems Learning Community is beginning again in June.  This Learning Community meets quarterly and is designed to help credentialed leaders become more effective by building self awareness.  Through input and case studies brought by participants, this group explores family system dynamics related to leadership in ministry.  Anyone interested in more information or taking part in the Systems Learning Community should contact Jenifer Eriksen Morales, 267-932-6050 ext.129 or jeriksenmorales@franconiaconference.org.

Mediation Skills Training Institute

The Lombard Mennonite Peace Center will be leading a Mediation Skills Training Institute at First English Lutheran Church, Columbus, Ohio during the week of May 6-10, 2013.  This event provides 32 hours of training, which is useful for clergy who are looking for continuing education opportunities. A brochure with further information and a registration form can be found on their website, which can be downloaded and/or printed.  Participants who register before the pre-registration deadline of April 5 will save $100 off the later registration price.
